Piotrek’s Midterm Evaluation
Midterm evaluation is the following part of EVS learning process. The whole thing was a bit different than on-arrival training. First of all it was fully in Spanish. There were more than 120 volunteers and the atmosphere was – understandably – quite different. It was less intimate, but at the same time very friendly. There were two main topics for our activities – improving our Spanish projects and preparing ourselves to coming back home. We had opportunity to meet Spanish National Agency workers and talk to them about any issues we might have.
The training took place in small village called Mollina (around an hour drive from Malaga) and was held in an impressive and well equipped youth center. Although we did not have a lot of free time (the four days were packed with activities) we were able to meet many new friends, including some compatriots – those meetings were always the happiest. As everything connected to EVS, midterm evaluation was well-prepared, well thought out and very useful.
La evaluación intermedia de Piotrek
La evaluación intermedia es la siguiente parte del proceso de aprendizaje del SVE. En general, no se parece mucho a la formación de la llegada. En primer lugar, se lleva a cabo íntegramente en España. Participamos más de 120 voluntarios y el ambiente era, como yo esperaba, diferente. Era menos íntimo, pero a la vez muy amigable. Nuestras actividades se basaban en dos puntos: mejorar los proyectos en los que estamos participando y prepararnos para la vuelta a casa. Además, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a los trabajadores de la Agencia Nacional Española (Injuve) y comentar con ellos cualquier problema que pudiéramos tener.
La evaluación se realizó en un pequeño municipio a una hora en coche de Málaga, Mollina, en concreto en un centro joven grande y muy bien equipado. A pesar de que no tuvimos mucho tiempo libre (los cuatro días estaban llenos de actividades) pudimos hacer muchos nuevos amigos, en especial cuando eran paisanos. Como todo lo relacionado con el SVE, la evaluación intermedia estuvo bien preparada, organizada y fue muy útil.
