Evaluación

With time passing, we moved from simply volunteers to the position of “senior” volunteers and last month we welcomed new group of volunteers here in Alzira.

Recently, we “the seniors” had participated in mid-term evaluation training in Mollina in Andalucian region. Apart from meeting other volunteers doing their EVS in different parts of the country and sharing our stories and experiences (which sometimes sounded surprisingly similar), we also shared tools and know-how on bettering our work experience and on effectiveness of work and its progress.

We acknowledged how much we were able to take out of this experience but also how much we tried to be helpful and giving. Living abroad is enriching and full of personal growth. During this time you may face difficulties and challenges such as the language barrier and other. Recognizing challenges as a way to grow and being encouraged by friends and trainers made this training worthwhile and pleasant but also appropriate.
