ABOUT THE PROJECT

SEMALE project will extend and refine the skills of teachers, educators, trainers, tutors, etc (the so-called trainers), in order to implement effective tools for improving the basic skills and key skills of specific groups of adult learners they are currently not covered by any training offer; we will focus on developing a training model aimed at trainers, to qualify and support them in the promotion of life, social and organizational skills, with regards to people in social disadvantage and in vulnerable situations.

In fact, SEMALE intends to implement an exchange of good practices between Adult Education (AE) institutions in order to implement a set of useful tools, so-called Toolkit directed at the AE trainers who want to implement an innovative teaching model, in order to boost employability, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, social inclusion, active citizenship and personal development of adult learners, and which later can be used by other AE centers and transferred into different sectoral and geographical realities.

Activities among the partners will be coordinated by Polaris through regular communication, in English, the common working language among project partners.

It is conviction of the partners that only through a face to face approach partnership strategies, activities and project WP can be timely, specific and truly shared. For this reason, 6 international meetings are planned, one for each partner country.

The meetings will give an opportunity to a) the exposure of the work carried out during the previous months b) round tables to reconcile different points of view and / or differences c) the possible redistribution of responsibilities and tasks through shared decision making and after a direct comparison between all the partners; they constitute, therefore, an essential tool in order to achieve the objective of the actual exchange of experiences and knowledge and intercultural growth. All partner organizations will attend all the meetings with a delegation of two staff persons for each partner who will then have the role of bringing within their own organization the decisions taken during meetings.

Are provided two training events (in Spain and Germany) for 20 trainers in Adut Education, and 28 blended mobilities of adult learners  with duration of 30 days in Holland and Denmark.

The SEMALE project will continue to produce results even beyond the its end; its sustainability is in re ipsa since this is a project that is intended to strengthen the key competences and training standards regarding the training modules and teaching methods related to the teaching and learning processes in adult education.

The training modules will be developed and tested on the basis of the specific needs and will contain the specifications necessary for their implementation in 7 different European countries. For this reason, since now, this partnership has very clear that it will be necessary to continue to verify the accuracy in the years of guidelines, tools and Course designed, to be controlled through surveys and checklists, and then to report the results or, at least, a general analysis within the project website. This website will be active also in the years following the end of the project and will be consulted by anyone interested to learn more about the activities, the results of the project and to take copies of each type of material produced.
