On-arrival training in Coma-Ruga

In February I spent one week on EVS training. The training took place in Coma-Ruga a city that is in Catalonia. There I met others volunteers, who are volunteering in different organisations in Spain. All participants were very friendly. In training we had many topics: Cultural Diversity, a Spanish lesson, the history of Spain, information about EVS. We had opportunity to meet Roman from Spanish National Agency and talk with him about any issues we might have. We met “castell” peoples and had opportunity build a tower. What is “castell”? it Is a human tower built traditionally in festivals at many locations within Catalonia. At these festivals, several "Colles castelleres" (group of people who do these towers) often succeed in building and dismantling a tower’s structure.

I had an interesting week and I am eagerly waiting for the next training week.

En febrero pasé una semana de formación del SVE. La capacitación tuvo lugar en Coma-Ruga una ciudad de Cataluña. Allí me encontré con otros voluntarios, que están en diferentes organizaciones de España. Todos los participantes eran muy amables. En el programa habían muchos temas: la diversidad cultural, lecciones de español, la historia de España, información sobre el SVE. Tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a Román de la Agencia Nacional Española y hablar con él acerca de cualquier problema que podamos tener. Vimos un ¨Castell” y tuve la oportunidad de construir una torre. ¿Qué es “el Castell”? Se trata de una torre humana construida de manera tradicional en las fiestas en muchos lugares de Cataluña. En estas fiestas, hay "Colles castelleres" (grupo de personas que hacen estas torres) a menudo tienen éxito en la construcción y el desmantelamiento de la estructura.

Tuve una semana interesante y estoy esperando la próxima semana de o formación.
