My experience in ArtRepreneur – Lucia Martinez

For a person as indecisive as I am, was strange to say yes without much persuasion to a project in Romania that was to take place in a few weeks that I discussed in IDEA. For my family, it was a surprise when, without warning, I told them I was going, not knowing quite explain what it was this, in a village in Romania in a few days.

Now, a few months later I remember with a big smile, an experience with many memories, though short, was to open my horizons and let me know some wonderful people. And wonderful people not only in Romania and Hungary (which were the other countries participating in the project) but I met young Alzireños, my neighbours almost, which have been a gift.

The project within the Erasmus + program is link young people from different countries with creative recycling as a thread and entrepreneurship as motivation. During the ten days we learned by hand fron Sipi how to convert objects would throw it away in really useful things that look good and took the artist within. In Imola we discovered our potential and we exposed all our personal tools and other equipment thoroughly enjoyed the vitality and delivery.

We lived almost ten days in remote beautiful houses from the village and we also had the opportunity to visit the city of Sighisoara and Brasov (also Dracula’s Castle) and the capital, Bucharest, which made us, discover the beauty that has that country and the warmth of its people.

When I returned, carrying a suitcase full of crafts I had done there, but also full of words, memories, pictures, experiences you never imagined you could experience there and I will never forget. I have an enormous desire to return.

I definitely recommend to all young people who are interested, to seek and out and take the step that I gave that day and live experiences of this kind. I did not refuse to see the country of destination or the theme of the project, with no prejudice or expectations are created, to open the mind and let surprise: I am enamoured with Romania ARTrepreneur has brought out the best in me.

Para una persona tan indecisa como yo fue extraño decir que sí sin muchos rodeos el día que por casualidad acabé en Idea hablando de un proyecto en Rumanía que iba a tener lugar en apenas unas semanas. Para mi familia, fue toda una sorpresa cuando, sin previo aviso, les dije que me iba, sin saber explicar muy bien en qué consistía esto, a un pueblo de Rumanía en unos días.

Ahora, unos meses después recuerdo con una gran sonrisa y muchísimos recuerdos una experiencia que, aunque corta, hizo que abriera mis horizontes y conociera a gente maravillosa. Y gente maravillosa no solo de Rumanía y Hungría (que eran los otros países que participaban en el proyecto) sino que conocí a jóvenes de Alzira, vecinos míos casi, que han sido como un regalo.

El proyecto, dentro del programa Erasmus+, consistía en tender lazos entre jóvenes de diferentes países con el reciclaje creativo como hilo conductor y el emprendedurismo como motivación. A lo largo de diez días aprendimos de la mano de Sipi a convertir objetos que tiraríamos a la basura en cosas realmente útiles y con una buena apariencia y sacamos al artista que llevamos dentro. Con Imola descubrimos el potencial que tenemos y sacamos a la luz todas nuestras herramientas personales y con el resto del equipo disfrutamos al máximo de su vitalidad y de su entrega.

Y aunque convivimos casi diez días en unas casitas preciosas apartadas del núcleo urbano también tuvimos la ocasión de visitar la ciudad de Sighisoara así como Brasov (también el castillo de Drácula) y la capital, Bucarest, algo que nos hizo descubrir la belleza que tiene ese país y la calidez de su gente.

Cuando volví, llevaba la maleta llena de manualidades que había hecho allí, pero también llena de palabras, de recuerdos, de fotografías, de vivencias que nunca habría imaginado que podría experimentar allí y que nunca olvidaré y del enorme deseo de volver.

Sin duda, recomiendo a todos los jóvenes que se informen, que busquen y que se atrevan a dar el paso que yo di ese día y que vivan experiencias de este tipo, que las hay. Que no lo rechacen al ver el país de destino o el tema del proyecto, que no tengan prejuicios ni se creen expectativas, que abran la mente y se dejen sorprender: a mí Rumanía me ha enamorado y ArtRepreneur ha sacado lo mejor de mí.
