English Coffee with Niki
Our volunteer team became active members of IDEA one of their main task is lead the conversation based English lessons the English Coffees. All 3 of them use their own methods to help the local people to develop their English knowledge. They haven’t got teaching experience in the past, so there could be difficulties sometimes, but these are just motivate them to try to find the best way to help their students. Let’s see Niki’s opinion: “I didn’t have experience about teaching so it has been really challenging. I have 2 different classes of different level, hence their needs are different. I had to figure out the best approach for them. However I do like challenges, so I feel very happy with my English classes. It is creative and the relationship with my students is unique. I really enjoy the whole process with all of them. I can’t highlight any special moment from the classes. All moments have been and will continue to be special for me.”

Nuestro equipo de voluntarios se ha convertido en una parte activa de IDEA. Una de sus tareas principales es dirigir los grupos de conversación en inglés, llamados English Coffee. Los tres utilizan sus propios métodos para ayudar a los habitantes de Alzira a desarrollar sus conocimientos de la lengua. Algunos de ellos no tienen experiencia en la enseñanza, así que a veces pueden surgir algunas dificultades que no hacen más que motivarles para solucionarlas y ayudar a sus alumnos. Esto es lo que opina Niki sobre sus English Coffee:
No tengo experiencia en la enseñanza, así que esto ha sido un reto para mí. Tengo dos clases con diferentes niveles, por eso mismo, tienen necesidades diferentes. Tengo que descubrir cuál es el mejor planteamiento para cada uno. Aun así, me gustan los retos y estoy muy contenta con mis clases de inglés. Me permiten ser muy creativa y mi relación con los estudiantes es única. Disfruto de todo el proceso con ellos. No puedo destacar ningún momento especial, todos los momentos son y serán especiales para mí.
